About WPP Scangroup
WPP Scangroup is a marketing and communications group running advertising, media, public relations, research and digital agencies including Ogilvy Africa, Scanad and GroupM in more than 20 sub-Saharan countries. It was incorporated in 1999 as Media Initiative East Africa, renamed Scangroup in 2005 and listed on the NSE on 29 August 2006. It became a subsidiary of WPP plc in 2013 and took its current name in 2015.
