About Absa Kenya

Absa Bank Kenya is a commercial bank licensed by the Central Bank of Kenya, offering retail, business and corporate banking, mortgages and bancassurance. Its roots go back to 1916; it was locally incorporated as Barclays Bank of Kenya in 1978 and listed on the Nairobi bourse in 1986. It was rebranded Absa Bank Kenya in February 2020 and is majority owned by South Africa's Absa Group.
