About EA Portland Cement
East African Portland Cement makes and sells cement, including the Blue Triangle brand, from its plant at Athi River near Nairobi. It was incorporated in 1933 by Blue Circle Industries as a cement importer and began production at Athi River in 1958. Its major shareholders are the National Social Security Fund, the Government of Kenya and Holcim affiliates including Bamburi Cement.
