About NCBA
NCBA Group is a bank holding company formed in 2019 by the merger of NIC Group and Commercial Bank of Africa. NIC was incorporated in 1959 and listed on the NSE in 1971, while CBA dated from 1962. Headquartered in Upper Hill, Nairobi, it owns NCBA Bank Kenya and banks in Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Ivory Coast, and is known for the M-Shwari and Fuliza mobile lending services run with Safaricom.
