About NSE
Nairobi Securities Exchange Plc operates Kenya's stock exchange, trading shares, bonds, REITs, ETFs and derivatives. It was set up in 1954 as the Nairobi Stock Exchange, a voluntary association of stockbrokers, renamed in 2011 and later demutualised. It self-listed on 9 September 2014 after an IPO at KES 9.50 a share that was oversubscribed more than seven times. Its offices are at The Exchange, Westlands, Nairobi.
