About Kenya Re

Kenya Re is a Nairobi reinsurer providing life and general reinsurance to insurance companies across Africa, the Middle East and Asia, with regional offices in Abidjan, Lusaka and Kampala. It was established by an Act of Parliament in 1970 and began business in 1971. The government holds 60 percent; the company listed on the NSE in 2007 through an IPO at KES 9.50 per share.
